About us

JobTrackerAI helps South African job seekers do the hard parts of a job search well: understanding what employers want, applying correctly and preparing for interviews.

What you will find here

  • Career guides — practical, original articles on government applications, the Z83, CVs, interviews, learnerships, payslips, UIF and more, written specifically for the South African job market.
  • Jobs — public service vacancies and other posts, each with its requirements, reference number and closing date, searchable by province and field.
  • Free tools — a CV builder, a Z83 form filler and an application tracker, plus optional AI help with cover letters and interview preparation for signed-in users.

Why we built it

Too many good candidates are rejected for avoidable reasons: an old version of the Z83, an unsigned form, a CV that does not show how they meet the requirements, or an interview answer that never gets to the point. The rules are not secret, but they are scattered across circulars, forms and adverts. We bring them together in plain language, alongside the tools to act on them.

How our guides are written

  • Original and practical. Our guides are written by our own editorial team for South African readers. We do not copy articles from other sites.
  • Grounded in official sources. Where a guide describes rules or processes — public service recruitment, the Z83, NQF levels, UIF — we base it on official information from bodies such as the Department of Public Service and Administration, the Department of Employment and Labour and SAQA, and we tell readers where to check details that change, such as amounts and deadlines.
  • Reviewed and updated. Every guide shows the date it was last reviewed. We update guides when rules or forms change.
  • Independent. No employer, college or recruiter pays to be mentioned in our guides.
  • Corrections. If you spot a mistake or something out of date, email contact@jobtrackerai.com and we will check and correct it.

Our guides are general information to help you make better applications. They are not legal or financial advice; for your specific situation, confirm details with the employer, the relevant department or a qualified adviser.

Where the jobs come from

Most listings are public service vacancies taken from official vacancy circulars and departmental adverts, each linked to its original source. Other posts are submitted directly by employers. We check listings for obvious problems, but the employer is responsible for its advert, and you should always apply exactly as the advert instructs.

We never charge job seekers, and no genuine employer will ask you to pay to apply. If you see a suspicious listing, please report it to contact@jobtrackerai.com.

How the site is funded

JobTrackerAI is free to use. We show advertising to cover our running costs. Advertisers have no influence over our guides or listings.
